Privacy Policy

This policy explains what recordcloud.bot ("we", "us") collects, why, and what rights you have. We keep it short and honest.

1. Data we collect

  • Account data: email address, name (optional), password hash or Google account ID, language, avatar.
  • Service data: the channels you add, your recordings and their metadata (title, category, duration, size), favorites, notifications, plan and billing history.
  • Usage data: first-party analytics (pages visited, referrer, country derived from IP, browser and device type). IP addresses are hashed and never stored in plain text for analytics.
  • Support data: messages you send us by email or contact form.

2. How we use it

To run the service (detect live streams, record them, show your library), to send transactional emails (verification, password reset, recording notifications, subscription reminders), to prevent abuse, and to improve the site using aggregated analytics. Marketing emails are optional and can be disabled in Settings.

3. Recordings

Recordings are stored on our storage servers in the EU (Netherlands) and are private to your account. They are served through signed links that expire after a few hours. When you delete a recording or your account, files are removed from our storage; when a plan ends, files are kept for 30 days and then deleted.

4. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies (session, language, CSRF protection), a first-party visitor cookie for analytics, and an affiliate cookie when you arrive via a referral link. See the Cookie Policy.

5. Third parties

  • Postmark delivers our emails.
  • Google provides optional sign-in (we receive your email, name and avatar).
  • Payment providers (when enabled) process card and crypto payments; we never see full card numbers.

We do not sell personal data and do not use third-party advertising trackers.

6. Retention

Account data is kept while your account exists. Analytics data is deleted after 13 months. Email logs are kept for 12 months for deliverability troubleshooting.

7. Your rights

You can export, correct or delete your data at any time from Settings, or by emailing contact@recordcloud.bot. EU residents have the rights granted by the GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

8. Security

All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Storage servers are access-restricted and monitored.
