Why did my Twitch VOD disappear?
Twitch past broadcasts are temporary by design. Regular accounts keep VODs for 7 days, Affiliates for 14 days, and Partners, Prime and Turbo users for 60 days. After that, Twitch deletes them automatically.
VODs can also vanish earlier: the streamer can delete them, set them to sub-only, or have them muted or removed after a DMCA claim. Highlights are the only videos Twitch keeps indefinitely.
How to check the retention period
Look at the channel badge: Partner (verified checkmark) means 60 days, Affiliate means 14, otherwise 7. Prime and Turbo subscriptions also extend a streamer's own retention to 60 days.
