HLS (HTTP Live Streaming)
HLS is the streaming protocol used by Twitch, Kick, YouTube and most live platforms. The video is split into small .ts segments listed in an .m3u8 playlist. Recorders download those segments and stitch them into one file, which is why raw recordings are often .ts before conversion to MP4.
